O agregador Metacritic listou os 50 melhores jogos da década (período entre 2010 a 2019). A classificação é organizada pela média das notas apresentadas no site. Somente games que tiveram acima de 15 avaliações entraram na competição.
O TOP 5 é dominado pela Nintendo e Rockstar. O primeiro jogo da lista é Super Mario Galaxy 2, lançado para Wii em 2010. A segunda e quinta colocação também são exclusivos da Nintendo com The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (Switch, 2017) e Super Mario Odyssey (Switch, 2017) respectivamente.
Red Dead Redemption 2 (PS4, 2018) e GTA V (PS4, 2014), os dois grandes títulos da Rockstar Games na oitava geração, ocupam o terceiro e quarto lugar da lista do Metacritic.
Destaque também para os exclusivos da Sony que ocupam 12 posições dos 50 qualificados (sendo 4 da Naughty Dog). A Nintendo detém outros 12 jogos na lista.
